Our Story
NOMADYN was founded in 2020 by Michael Cole with one clear goal: to develop next-generation adventure technologies—using advanced materials, innovative manufacturing, and intelligent design. We set out to build gear that’s durable, intuitive, and fail proof. That mission was backed by a small team obsessed with solving real-world problems through design and relentless testing.
Our proving ground was the frozen shores of Lake Winnipeg, Manitoba—a brutal, unforgiving landscape that’s more than just cold; it’s legendary. The site of the Gimli Glider emergency landing and the former home to the Mercedes-AMG Winter Experience, this unforgiving terrain demands resilience. It’s where we designed and tested the first prototypes and products that would become NOMADYN.
Our Name
The name "NOMADYN" fuses "Nomad" and "Dynamics." "Nomad" reflects our restless spirit of exploration; "Dynamics" underscores our obsession with motion and innovation.
Our Logo
Our registered trademark isn’t just a design—it’s a declaration. The forward-leaning N—for NOMADYN—shaped into a mammoth, represents strength, resilience, and relentless forward motion. It’s a symbol forged for those who explore wild places—by land, air, or sea. The mammoth didn’t survive by chance; it thrived in the harshest conditions. So do the people we design for. More than a mark, our logo embodies the spirit of exploration and determination. It’s a reminder to stay prepared, push forward, and embrace the unknown. To wear it is to carry that standard.
